In response to octaviameister; Firstly; June 21 is the middle of summer! This is the longest day of the year and the sun effectively begins moving south. Secondly; if you took the time to find out what is realy going on around the Gulf region you would know that toxic gasses are blowing in from the ocean causing many people to get ill and the birds and wildlife are fleeing.
This is a massive disaster and too many people are just playing it down to the detriment of the Gulf region and the benefit of BP and the other oil companies.

Watching animal behavior is a good thing to do, they are in tune with the planet a whole lot more than we are. You can bet on that. I'm in Illinois, and this year there are a lot more birds, of all kinds flying around. They are spread out, but they are definitely here. This is not like a Spring migration, I don't care what the calendar says! They migrate a lot earlier than now, normal flocking is in March or May, not now!!!

Getting away from danger is what they do. It's inherent. If people don't want to pay attention to the warning, they don't care. They just do it, self protection.

Remember the guy in the movie with the Tshirt? "If you see me running away, try to catch up." That's the same idea.

My point is, where do you run to get away from a really huge methane bubble rising up from the seabed, when it can take out all of North America in one fell swoop, in the resulting explosion? Even the smart birds won't escape this one. This will affect the whole planet.
