After multiple requests for pictures and or video of the many descriptions of military movements we get on a daily we have finally received photographic proof of one of the tips
Rather then make ANY sort of conclusion I will simply ask:

Recently seen traveling from Tehachapi California while headed northbound on HWY 99 near Bakersfield California. All the vehicles were pointed south bound.

Looks to me to be a normal movement of military equipment between Ft.Irwin and Joint Base Lewis-McChord up in Washington state for training purposes. This train went by my house the other day as the BNSF tracks are 500 ft behind me.
I live in Bakersfield Ca, and live in the Rosedale area of the city, This looks like one of serveral that have passed throught town, on train had off loaded a portion of there load around 11pm 2 days ago. this train was carrying the Strikers System( system like in pics) which where off loaded in the central part of Bakersfield, behind the City Police Dept and Federal Building off Truxton Ave where I work( city employee), and moved to the Depot off of N.Chester ave and off Hwy 58 exit Oswell, These are not Desert Warfare color scheme,the personel to drive the equipment was wearing a darker version of the ACU’s ( not like the cat litter color scheme, but more urban)with CHP directing traffic on the 99 at the California on ramp , Bakersfield shipped their Bradleys out via Semi due to treaded vehicles weeks ago, this striker regiment was driven on the city streets, for the last serval weeks until this convoy showed up in town 3 unmarked black helos have partaken in the nightly flights with the Kern County Sherrfis air units, serveral friends of mine in County are worried somethings is up. Since this photo, half of vehicles that off loaded has been since painted urban scheme and relocated to the P street area of the National Gaurd Depot next to the Kern County Fair Grounds inside the motor pool buildings. What you see here is half of what was off loaded and on loaded in Central Bakersfield.

US forces practice training in the deserts of california; it is a common practice for units to ship their equipment via train; the National Guard of individual states especially, as well as units on the east coast, been there, done that with regular army and national guard.
My husband and I have been on the road almost daily for years, our job requires driving all the freeway’s of So. California. Lately, we are seeing a lot of military vehicles on the move and being moved ! This is not normal ..as we have not witnessed this before!..even though we are aware of March Air Force Base, and Twentynine Palms etc. With numerous trips to Lake Havasu City Arizona in our leisure time..Still, no military vehicle sightings during daylight hours..until recently, this year 2011.White UN unmarked bus with blackened windows in the convoy. noted equipment on trucks, some sort of cannon. Aug 3rd 2011, late afternoon- Three big black helicopters heading west bound ( perhaps to March Air Force Base )with a (1) civilian helicopter along side (as a GUIDE?? or escort ??) ..was weird.
The tanks seem Italian Centauro wheeled tank destroyers. It is known that 15 of them equip the National Guard.

Not sure what the things with the turrets are, they may be a variation on the GPV Colonel, but they are definitely not Centauros.
Centauros’ turrets are flush with the deck and are not on a pedestal like this. The turrets also look very similar to ones found on the Leopard tank.
Interesting to know that the Centauro is in service with the reserves. Thanks for the info. I did not know this. It bears worth looking into. I find it disturbing that more foreign hardware seems to be popping up within our branches of service, everything from light weapons to medium armor.
Makes it easier for foreign “peacekeepers” to walk in and be effective combatants.

After some research, the armor appears to be a M1128 Stryker Mobile Gun System.
Crew of three, commander, driver, gunner. 105mm main gun, .50 and 7.62 machine guns.
while driving today,in Phoenix AZ, I passed a MARINE carwash at the side of Bell Rd. They were in uniform and had a few parked military vehicles with car wash banners on them. They were standing at the side of the road holding up big signs saying MARINE CAR WASH! WTF? Doesn’t the military have a big enough budget?!
The Marine Corps does do fundraisers to finance their unit’s Marine Corps Ball. When I was in, we went and got paid for being a studio audience for sitcoms. This is about the time that units start their fundraising…
As a reserve Marine in Phoenix we have done numerous car washes for fund raisers for the Marine Corps Ball. This is nothing new or exciting.
yes they it does but, their soldiers are the worst paid in our military. They are probably scrounging up some movie money or for beer.
Saw a bunch of privet trucks leave the base here on Whidbey,escorted by a striker and a couple of transports.The boxes on the transports were marked A1-ORD,A6-ORD,and one privet flatbed was loaded with 3 missile sleds.This is not normal,being a Navel air base they fly stuff in and out.IMO,there moving the toys out of the subduction zone.Got a pic,but it’s crap.Was driving.

Please remember this is also the height of when reserves often are involved in training. Doing their two weeks in the field.
It is a little early to state that these folks are engaged in setting up an occupying force. If this type of activity was occurring outside of good size population centers with them taking over empty small industrial parks, erecting barriers, stringing wire and the like, I would be more concerned.
Right now, this does bear watching given the current socio-economic climate, but it is probably just the weekend warrior out to get eaten by mosquitoes, chiggers and ticks.

Keep telling yourself that yet the military is actively taking part in arrests on citizens nationwide. I bet you support that too
I just realized where all this military equipment is going..out in the desert, east of Barstow, CA on I-15 & Ghost Town Rd., there is a military storage facility. This is where the Government stores military equipment. The desert climate preserves the equipment best (no rain = no rust). The complex is huge, I’ve driven by it many times while driving a big rig.
We need the military at all of the borders to keep the illegals out and more importantly to keep the mexican drug cartels out! So I will keep my fingers crossed for their help at the borders. And it’s not only drugs, it’s guns too! Drugs are coming into the States and guns are going to mexico. This needs to be stopped! It would be nice if our military would help us now.
Those arent tanks, those are stryker’s mounted w/ the cannons. I’m currently in Kandahar Afghanistan and the 25th ID 1st SBCT has them and I see those things ALL the time, painted green just like that.
I wouldn’t worry about the movement of such equipment. Their are more important issues facing us today. C9ongress will lie. They have lost sight of any truth.
Around 1PM, September 2, in Chico Ca. Saw another trainload of these, mostly with big guns, as shown in one of the pic’s of I guess bradley’s? Heading North via. rail. I took it with alarm, but reading this article, I see they are returning to their points of origin?
we should use NO foreign hardware at all, our military should be supplied 100 percent from our own country…js
10-15-11 LARGE MILITARY CONVOY SEEN IN PHOENIX TODAY! -The sky was covered with military helicopter, like 20-50! They were heard at 5am this morning, and now at 11am The sky was full of them, plus 2 large Hercules cargo planes flying low – what’s going on, all of them were headed SOUTH!???

You are partially right there. There are thousands of x soldiers dispersed throughout the United States, we can jump back into action at any time, but in defense of the civilians we were sworn to protect, not join some invading army, regardless of their origin… Don’t underestimate this one, and at the same time, don’t underestimate the integrity of the currently enlisted American soldier, they will NOT follow illegal orders to round up and/or kill fellow American civilians no matter who is giving the orders!!!!
Brian, in light of the Patriot Act, the NDAA, and other unconstitutional changes in recent years, I sincerely hope that your colleagues share your views!!! It’s really scary to think about the possibilities…..
