A group of veterans and active duty soldiers are set to march to the White House in February to show their support for Ron Paul and to turn their backs on the current puppet in chief, Barack Obama.

The group, Veterans for Ron Paul 2012, was co founded by longtime Libertarian activist Adam Kokesh. A press release by Kokesh explains the groups plans:

On President’s Day, February 20th, 2012, the founders of Veterans for Ron Paul 2012, Nathan Cox and Adam Kokesh, will lead a formation of veterans and active duty troops who support Ron Paul’s candidacy for President of the United States from the Washington Monument to the White House. Upon arrival at the White House, they will do an about face to turn their backs on the President, and render a hand salute to a folded American flag surrounded by family members of military personnel and veterans. They will hold the salute for as many seconds as troops have died under the Presidency of Barrack Obama.

The purpose of this event is to make it clear to the American people that Ron Paul is the choice of the troops and the candidate who will have the greatest support from those he would lead as commander-in-chief. This is already evidence by the fact that Ron Paul has recieved more campaign contributions from active duty service members than all other presidential candidates combined, INCLUDING Barrack Obama.

Kokesh has long been an advocate for freedom and liberty and in a speech given last Saturday he outlined the fact that the military supports Ron Paul over all the other GOP candidates and Barack Obama.

Better get the war with Iran started (WWIII), start out-sourcing the military out to the mercenaries, and start frog-marching Americans to those FEMA camps before American and the military take their country back!

I recommend to Obama and Hillary NOT to spit on the flag for the cameras any more.

    Excellent news!

  4. Terry says:

This is a game changer. February is too late! Make it next week, before the next primary!

  5. John Smith says:

I’m going to make this very simple as this is an issue I have researched and have kept up with because I am a vet.

There are 1.44 milllion active duty troops in the Armed Forces, 848,000 reservists and national guard, and over 1.3 million retired military that Paul and his supporters say they have “the overwhelming support of”. FEC data for Q4 is not available but the best available data culled from various sources reveals that Paul has received about 140,000 to date from about 1400 persons of this constituency of 3.6 million people. 1400/3.6 million equals .038% and if you divide the total amount received of 140,000/3.6 million equals 3.8 cents per person. Hardly a show of “overwhelming support”.

Paul and his supporters tried to use this same ridiculous claim in 2008 and the numbers were roughly the same; however, when you look at an actual poll of military personnel that was conducted in 2008 by the Military Times, McCain enjoyed “overwhelming support of the military” (not my words, directly from the article) at 67% to 23% for Obama and Paul wasn’t even mentioned in the article!

    • Bill says:

The reason McCain and Obama got so much money is because they were the nominees. They campaigned for MUCH longer… and you get most of your big donations AFTER you are the nominee. If you google and look at Ron Paul’s Top 10 donors, you’ll find that MOST of them are from the armed services and companies related to the military. The people who know what’s REALLY going on in the middle east. Romney’s top 10 are almost all BANKS. Just like Obama.

Get a clue and turn off your tv.

      • Craig says:

Wow Bill, you’re pretty out there. 2.2 Million in the military and Paul collected a total of $20,000. Do the math knucklehead. Maybe you should turn on the TV and develop an analytical mindset by watching various information and use your own judgement for a final decision, not a 30 year Wash. DC politician who wants to return us to the failures of Woodrow Wilson. You’re just a minion being led due to your own ignorance.

        • FreeinTX says:

          Craig

Return us to the failures of Woodrow Wilson? RON PAUL? What a joke! Wilson signed the FEDERAL RESERVE ACT. Do you think RON PAUL wants to bring us back to the point where we created a private central bank, and repeat that disaster? I don’t think so.

Bill was right. Paul wasn’t mentioned in the article because Paul was not running in the general election. But in the primaries, of the people in the military that cared enough about politics to support a candidate with their wallet, chose OVERWHELMINGLY RON PAUL.

But hey, you want to send troops to the other side of the planet die for Israel, you vote Obama, or Romney. They will get more people killed than you could dream possible. Heck, maybe even start a nuclear war. Ohh, I bet you love that idea. Glowing in the dark for your country.

I think it is pretty common sense. Troops would rather be at home with their loved ones than risking their lives for Halliburton and General Electric or securing oil interests for BP and ExxonMobile, and the last thing we need to do is lose American lives fighting the enemies of a country that can take care of itself!

  6. Zellie says:

John Smith, if you are so knowledgeable, then state your sources….it would appear to me and many others…that Ron Paul’s campaign is the ONE place your sources did NOT go to get their data….what are you scared of? The TRUTH? Both my husband and my Father (both veterans) supported Ron Paul, and there are many hundreds of thousands more who have done so and growing everyday. The BIG question is, WHY haven’t you supported Ron Paul? Are you a war hawk?

    • Craig says:

So, the way it comes off is that you’re saying those in the military are “War Hawks” because we, like your husband and father, joined the military. If that’s not the way you come off, it certainly describes your lack of sensibility. Why would one go to Paul’s site in order to obtain facts? It’s going to be totally objective to any information that contrasts his ridiculous ideology. What makes him different by saying for ten years he never read the contents of a newsletter he was distributing, to that of a guy that sat in a pew for 20-years and never heard an iota of racism from his preachers mouth? There is no difference, it’s the same mindset!

      • jacqlynsmith says:

Back when people believed the MEDIA WHORES you got your war….NOW THAT WE ARE AWAKE AND KNOW THE MEDIA IS CORRUPT JUST LIKE THE ESTABLISHMENT NEO CONS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE AISLE WE ARE NOT BUYING INTO THE LIES ANYMORE….TIME YOU WAKE UP TOO CRAIG!

  7. Craig says:

As a veteran, I am appalled at any veteran with a stitch of sense to support Ron Paul. The information you’re getting that Paul is supported by the military as demonstrated in contributions is bogus. A total of 20K has been collected from those who STATE they are military – even of it was true, with an active military force, not retired mind you, of 2.2 Million – that means he is collecting a few gets from each member. I would’t call that support. Paul would just about eliminate any use for the military. I can’t believe anyone with ANY intelligence that was either enlisted, or an officer would concur to Pauls ideology.

    • jacqlynsmith says:

Craig…..you are sooo-o-o off base it’s not even funny…..too bad you NEO CONS are going to be a thing of the past…..people are waking up and we are tired of supporting your A$$eS in these unconstitutional wars….if you want a war get your own voluntary Army and go over there…..WE THE PEOPLE WANT PEACE….STOP THE NONSENSE ALREADY AND STOP POSTING YOUR MISINFORMATION ON THE GOOD DOCTOR!!

    • FreeinTX says:

This election season saw RON PAUL with $95,000, versus Obama at $75,000, and no one else even close!

    • Captain Hugh Smith says:

      You would be wrong Brother.

  8. CPL McLellam says:

I couldn’t get past the way he is wearing the Marine Corps uniform!
