CONUS: Woodland Military Equipment Movements Ramp-Up as Investigation Continues

Yesterday morning (January 20th, 2012), around 4AM I stumbled upon 20-30 armored infantry vehicles on train cars here in Halifax, Canada (at a train stop beside Fairview Cemetery).
Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera with me at the time and when I came back to film no more than 15 hours later, the tanks had apparently already been transported away.
Here is a video of the location where I saw the tanks, as well as some commentary by me:
A couple months ago my girlfriend’s co-worker had told her that she also witnessed a similar scene.

The same day I spotted tanks, multiple other people were lucky enough to film what they saw.

I filmed this on Thursday January 19th after a dozen or so train cars went by on a stretch of track south of Santa Cruz California. It was heading southeast through Watsonville. Cause for alarm or just old tanks being shipped from one base to the other? Real or fake?

The fact that the military equipment filmed above is covered in woodland camo confirms that they are NOT set to be used in the Middle East.
[UPDATE: Someone asked me exactly where I witnessed this so I've now added pictures I took from Google maps to clear things up.]

Apparently they are sending a lot (thousands) of troops into Lybia..they don’t like the way things are going…big surprise!
We are in so many different middle east countries, no telling where all these tanks are going..
Those tanks are not going to Libia. Wake up, there in YOUR backyard.
These aren’t “tanks” but rather armoured personnel carriers.
Get some pictures of such things and identify them.
I have a good idea what they are.
They are of little value.

Ft. Hunter Liggett (where my father took basic during WWII) is a national reserve training center just south of the bay area.
FMC who manufactures the Bradley is in San Jose area.

So far it appears the Woodland (green) camo tanks and re-fuelers are being shipped to the Canadian governent after manufacture in the US.
DoD might actually have the paperwork for the order in Fiscal 2010/2011 budget. — Obvioisly defenfive weapons begs the question of who they think will be invading Canada?
Those are armored infantry vehicles, as they don’t have large anti-tank guns. They are not vintage armored vehicles. The white star indicates US Army. Probably Bradley’s or a variant.
for the last 6 months they have been sending them to Vancouver over the cocahalla hyway didnt know what they were for either
APCs (Armored Personnel Carriers) good for Urban fighting. Martial Law is coming very quickly or is the Military preparing to face off with Dyncor/BlackWater Mercenaries in case of Martial Law?
Going into California, it is quite likely that those vehicles are headed for the National Training Center. It is also good to remember that not every Army or Marine unit rotated in or out of the Middle East. There are still active units all around the world and that pattern is still very much a military standard. If someone could get close enough to the front of those vehicles being transported and took a clear photo of the front edges, the unit that vehicle is assigned to is stenciled on the front. That would tell more than just profiles of Bradleys on flatcars.
A Canadian friend told me their government let their military fall into disrepair for years. They are just now bringing it up to speed again. These are Bradley Fighting Vehicles, made in California on their way to Canada. Ya’ll can stop freaking out now.
Several days ago both the wife and I saw a group of apc’s at the Halifax container pier. They were in a desert color and one had a white patch with a red crescent on the rear of the vehicle. Most likely they are returnee’s from the Afghan adventure and will be shipped to their home base somewhere else in Canada
