Call of Duty: Warzone is finally getting a new DLC, and this time, John Rambo is heading to the first-person shooter and will be terrorizing the players. Activision has released a new teaser trailer that uses the famous line from Rambo II that says “To survive war, you gotta become a war.” For those wondering, the DLC is launching on May 20th, later this month.
The teaser is not that long, and it shows a shirtless John Rambo who has a compound bow along with an explosive arrow, something we have come to know and love in the Rambo series. You can check out the teaser trailer posted on the official Call of Duty Twitter account.
The release of this DLC should not come as a surprise, to be honest. Activision has been teasing the DLC for about a week now. Many fans have speculated that John Rambo would be coming to Warzone as a new operator, and that is exactly what is happening. It also adds more speculation as fans have already started wondering if you will be getting more operatives in the future. Perhaps Terminator or John McClane from Die Hard? Hey, I wouldn’t even mind John Wick.
It is nice to see that Warzone is taking a few queues from Fortnite as far as adding iconic movie characters are concerned, either. Plus, with a game like Warzone that is already at the height of its popularity, having characters like John Rambo, John Wick, and John McClane will only add to the popularity of the game, and give its 100 million or something players something to check out.
Activision is already proud of their free-to-play Warzone and CoD: Mobile and has talked about how these games have transformed the franchise, and for all the right reasons as well. We hope that they continue supporting the game for the foreseeable future.
