Recently, a News 5 investigation collected samples from multiple beaches in and around the Gulf region. Samples were taken in areas where kids were playing and swimming. The results were absolutely terrifying. The Intel Hub has heavily documented the Gulf Disaster and this is just another startling revelation in a long line of horrors coming out of the Gulf. What British Petroleum has done is at the very least criminal neglect, if not premeditated chemical rape. Most of the people working for BP have vigorously worked to contain the spill, not knowing that their bosses have done just about everything backwards, with little to regard for human life.
The accepted toxic level for oil is anything over 5 parts per million. Water from orange beach tested at 25 parts per million. The sand around Gulf Shores beach tested at an astonishing 211 parts per million. Remember, these beaches have been left open by officials who continue to claim the, “The beach is safe to swim.” Near Orange Beach, in the very area where kids were happily playing, the water tested a whopping 221 parts per million. How can the EPA and local officials continue to lets citizens frequent these toxic beaches?
As if this wasn’t enough, a sample from the Dolphin Island Marina actually EXPLODED when mixed with an organic solvent intended to separate the oil and water! That’s right, we now have documented evidence of samples exploding upon testing.
The obvious reason for such an explosion is methane gas. As we know, methane is highly flammable and can explode upon contact with air. The other likely candidate is the neurotoxin known as Corexit9500, which has continued to be openly sprayed through aerial operations as well as directly at the source.
This should be a major wake up call for anyone that still believes this disaster is behind us.

But then again, there’s probably a majority of the people who enjoy the beaches, that would want to know, & especially “for their childrens sake & safety”!
I’ve heard that some folks, are actually testing the oil for radioactivity, & finding measurments of up to 10 millirems. Of course, I doubt that’ll ever be reported, due to its HOT nature! Just the revelations of the ppm rate of the oil/dispersant, is lively enough! Just wait until the hydrogen sulphide issue
comes to fore (Hint; it’s why the seas are boiling!).
I myself, can take a tarball or 2, & have it tested, This way it might be ‘tagged to the bp gusher’, due to its “deeeep well into the red oil/mud volcano & all that methane/uranium/thorium.” One never actually knows, just where, the oil/tarballs can come from. and “tagging it via proper testing, maybe a solution”. One question though, “If the Oil, already has oil eating microbes
naturally already in it, then why spray corexit, at all”? The
dispersant only, brakes the oil down into nanopaticulate sizes,
& it’s already showing up in CLEAR WATER!

Excellent story. Why can’t scientific tests be done on water samples all along the Gulf of Mexico / USA coastline, including Texas? This needs to be done right away and reported on right away. Keep the government out of it.
I am afraid that the towns along the Gulf want to keep up a positive face for the survival of their towns and the tourist industry. Unfortunately that is morally wrong and is a big reason people just do not believe anything we are told about this matter anymore.

What a bunch of paranoid babies. Even if the water sample tested at 1,000 or 20,000 ppm, that’s parts per MILLION. Hardly a drop in the bucket. And the human body will process away any impurities. If indeed they are impurities -which they most certainly are not. Pure oil is all natural and pure. If anything, it’s the man and woman-made contaminants in the ocean that caused the problem. we have nothing to worry about, bp has plugged the hole. the hole that had oil gushing out that small fish swam through on camera. A slow billowing simmer. Thats about as intelligent as saying, “pure arsenic and mercury are natural… your body will filter it out”. Just because something is “natural” doesn’t mean it isn’t harmful.

While I hate BP as much as anyone else…I live on the west coast and our marina water is totally polluted with oil, gasoline and human waste and nobody swims in the water.
So having the highest PPM is not surprising and is probably not a reasonable disaster test source.

If you are worried about swimming don’t swim and be responsible for your children and their health. I would like you to compare a sample from the Gulf to one from the Hudson River. BP I feel is doing a pretty good job of getting this mess cleaned up and no they are not obligated to 24/7 give out news bulletens, nor should they have knee jerk reactionary responses. They [BP] will at the end of the day have learned the value of being a penny wise rather than a pound foolish, and the Gulf may well be a cleaner place for it. Working together through this will bring about much needed change in how we consume oil and enlighten us as to the world’s need for alternative energy sources.
Why didn’t they immeditally collect more water from that area & do the test again ?
