A Message To MoveOn.org On Attempted Co Opt Of Occupy Protests

Update: Multiple heavily funded liberal blogs have published articles claiming that it is silly to worry about Occupy Wall Street Protests getting co opted.
Clearly this is a bold faced lie and is being used to attack anyone who doesn’t want the Democratic Party to take over the protests.
BOTH major political parties in this country are run by the SAME machine. Freedomworks co opts grassroots conservative movements and Moveon.org co opts grassroots progressive movements. Its very clear and easy to understand!
The two party system and the private Federal Reserve are the problem!
Contrary to what many liberal blogs are reporting, this movement is not about re electing OBAMA or supporting liberal causes. THIS IS ABOUT FREEDOM.
The two party system is DONE. Neither Democrats or Republicans speak or work for the American people.
George Soros and Freedomworks work for the same MACHINE!
Note: Apparently some of the organizers have stated that the above photo was not made by them, but regardless these organizers do not necessarily even speak for all the protesters.
In a leaderless movement accepting the help and working with a group such as Moveon.org would destroy the independence of the protesters and turn it into a left wing political movement.

Whoa. Slow down folks…You have some really bad info… do you realize you are repeating right wing falsehoods? That is incredibly unhelpful to your cause.
MoveOn took a donation from Soros like 8 years ago, and hasn’t taken more than $5,000 form any one source for over 7 years. It’s almost exclusively volunteer driven and has been working hard on progressive issues constantly and for a long time now.
They are not part of the democratic party in any way. They have helped throw democrats out of office as well as republicans. They pressure democrats and republicans equally on the issues that progressives care about.
The right wing has been repeating the lies about this great progressive organization so long now I guess you folks don’t know it’s a lie.
Talk to a MoveOn volunteer, they’ll tell you what MoveOn is really about.

Which intel hub is NOT a rightwing media mob? Nearly all media in the us, about 90% to be close to accurate, are part of one of five major multi-national corporate conglomerates that control nearly every economic decision made by US, Inc. and thus are operated by corporate interests.
There are interests of the Occupation that coincide with interests promoted by MoveOn so let MoveOn carry the message, but keep reps from MoveOn outside the general assembly of the Occuapation.
The people working for MoveOn are part of the 99% downtrodden in this country, so they deserve a voice in this too, as we all do, every last one of the 300 million on the outside looking in.
MoveOn’s job is to report the news, disseminate facts and promote causes they believe in. If any of the goals of the Occupation and MoveOn are similar, there is no reason MoveOn shouldn’t promote the causes – but only as an outside entity in support of the cause. As do the Vets for Peace, Iraqi Vets against the Iraqi War, Code Pink, the ACLU, SEIU and many others.
MoveOn is not a whore in Congress or a pimp on K Street; they are not owned by the Koch bros. or any oil company, war profiteering group, aka defense contractors, insurance or pharmaceutical company pirates, banksters or anyone else who plays and profits from this corrupt system at the expense of the working stiff.
Allow their members to join individually, but draw the line restricting organizations from working under the tent of the Occupation.
END MIDDLE CLASS GENOCIDE NOW! END CORPORATE TYRANNY AND RESTORE DEMOCRACY AND OPPORTUNITY TO THE MASSES!
After careful consideration:
I suggest the application of the “standard”.
IF Move-On wants to support the OWS movement as others let them.
However RESTRICT THEM from PARTICIPATION in the GA’s AT ALL COSTS.
The Move-On Organization is so low key they need to be watched for
and the GA’s Screened for them OR ANY OTHER Organization that supports
the OWS movement.
